C1. DEFENCE POLICY

There are/can be C1 files for all countries/other actors listed in the main country/actor code list.

The coding sequence is C1.country/actor code (e.g. C1.ALB = defence policy of Albania).

C2. ARMS PROCUREMENT POLICY

There are/can be C2 files for all countries/other actors listed in the main country/actor code list.

The coding sequence is C2.country/actor code (e.g. C2.ALB = arms procurement policy by Albania).

D. (formerly ILLEGAL file) Arms-debt related articles.

E. MILITARY AID

The coding sequence is A.country/actor code (e.g. M.ALB = military spending by Albania) or M.country/actor code-sub M code (e.g. H.ALB-OFF = off-budget military spending by Albania)

(Please note – it is possible to find country studies under M code which cover background; after 2014 these are in the C1 – defence policy – files.)
