Anmäl Arbetskada is a shared service from The Swedish Work Environment Authority (Arbetsmiljöverket) and Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringkassan).
Wellness Allowance (Friskvårdsbidrag)
Work out in the gym, swim, play tennis or football or join an online yoga class. These are some of the many exercise and fitness activities that the Wellness Allowance (Friskvårdsbidraget) can be used for according to the Swedish Tax Agency’s rules.
SIPRI offers a wellness allowance to all employees with the primary purpose to stimulate and inspire to regular physical activity.
The amount of the wellness allowance
The maximum amount of the wellness allowance at SIPRI is 1500 SEK per employee and calendar year. You will receive the allowance in proportion to the length of your employment, i.e. if you have only worked part of a year the total amount will be modified accordingly.
To claim reimbursement, register your expense in Maconomy and upload the receipt as an attachment. Please note that costs for preventive healthcare can only be paid out per calendar year.
Subsidised activities
Examples of tax-free activities include gym cards, personal training hours, swimming, racket sports and team sports such as football and handball. Other examples are fitness apps and online training, yoga, pilates and zumba.
Please consult HR if you are unsure whether an activity is approved as a tax-free benefit or not.
Computer Glasses
SIPRI contributes to the cost of computer glasses (terminalglasögon). These are glasses especially designed for reading on a computer screen, to prevent eye strain and other common issues. SIPRI has an agreement with the optician’s chain ‘Synsam’ and a referral from the HR is needed. For more information, please contact HR.
